Los Angeles, CA based music producer Chinchilla is a rising young talent, working to cement his name in today’s growing music industry. His music production prowess is a product of his over fifteen years of experience and studies in the basis of music and music theory. Well diverse in a variety of musical genres from R&B to Pop, to Hip-Hop and Dance, Chinchilla’s multi-genre assets enable him to cater to all facets of today’s music industry, establishing himself as an all-around, well-rounded, go-to-guy for music production.
Born Bryan Michael Camphor on August 19, 1984 in Baltimore, Maryland, he has been exposed to and involved in music from a very young age. From making beats on his brother’s Casio keyboard and writing songs for him and his sister’s stuffed animals as a child, to singing in school choirs and playing trumpet in his grade school bands, he was always destined for a career in music. He didn’t realize this until after being introduced to FL Studio Music Production Software, by his cousin in 2004. In May of 2007, Chinchilla moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music production.
Since moving to Los Angeles, he has been involved in recording projects, engineering at California Sound Studios, in Lake Forest, CA, and is currently working on placements for major, independent, and unsigned recording artist.
Chinchilla’s unique style of production, using originality, imagination and creativity to create the “sick” chords, “smooth” melodies, and “banging” drum lines that make up the typical “CHINCHILLA BEAT”, is derived from a number of his musical influences including Timbaland, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Diane Warren, Babyface & L.A. Reid, Polow Da Don, The Runners, and Tim & Bob. He attributes his skills to listening to and studying the greats, while still maintaining his own signature style and sound in the process.
One thing is for certain whenever Chinchilla gets to making a beat, his goal is to grab the listener’s undivided attention and get their head’s nodding, make them feel the beat, whether fast or slow. Chinchilla strives to use his musical skills to one day climb to the top of the music industry’s list of “Super Producers” and stake a claim as one of the best music producers of all-time. In Addition, he also intends to create a record label and a music promotion and entertainment company among other things.
“I didn’t come this far to turn back now. Lord willing, I will succeed in music. I stake my life on that,” states the determined and driven Chinchilla, a student of music who continues in his pursuit to perfect his craft while broadening his musical horizons. |
